The Hunt
01:22
|
|||
[Hey there, it’s been a while. You’ve come so far. It feels like only yesterday you had hunted your first game. Now you’re ordering steak with fries on the side. You’ve done so well. It feels like only yesterday you felt your first drop of rain. Now you’re so recluse you always keep dry. How’s the shovel I leant you? Have you buried who you are yet? One day I’ll get it back, prying it from your cold, dead hands when your past rises from its shallow grave. Can you stop compressed springs? Can you feel the energy they have? One day you’ll forget to hold back. You’ll understand how it is to be the shame… the shame you always pretended you never had, held down by the baggage of a Buddhist’s nightmare. How would you feel to lose your head, to let go of your manners, to become the nightmare? My electric dreams may not be eclectic but at least I can stay in line. It’s time to stop complaining and accept your flawed design. I’ll be seeing a lot of you very shortly. It’s time I checked in. Have a good day. Love from your good friend, Jason.]

Original Sin
03:48
|
|||
The blood drips down my neck
And flows down my spine like a river
Feeling as numb as the needle on the record player
Somehow feeling less than just a shiver
Is now when the music stops?
Is it time for the silence?
Is everyday just another write off
Until the day the needle rises?
For every door I forced open
The door behind me closes
Leaving me with the scent of roses
And masking the times that should have been forgotten
For every leap of faith I made
I still look at the top as I fall down
Wondering what salvation would be found
As the bad times begin to fade
The ecstasy of creation bearing the pressure
To please, to feel, and to
Reassure yourself that you can be loved
But to love yourself is another forbidden treasure
Being tired from your own exhaustion
Frustrated by your own anger
Sad about your own malcontent
But never content with your own joy
These are the lives that have been made
In my name without the permission
Of the mistakes that have been made
By myself and my own attrition
I stand before you as God himself
And this is my original sin
To preach the lie of happiness
And to wear your sanity thin
‘Cause no one asked to feel
Or to witness the crime of pain
‘Cause I am the normal one
And you are all insane
To create the sense of madness
You first create the norm
But to tear down the fairness
Leaves you with the storm

Crows
04:32
|
|||
Let’s make a banquet of our blood
Let’s feast on ourselves
And see the foul taste that we can leave
We stand behind the curled
We stand by the fallen
We act like the glorious
With our backs against the wall
Hold me down
Pull my chains
Watch me flourish
From the flames
Hold me down
Watch me flourish
From the flames
And see what the crows will gain
Let’s make the enemies of ourselves
Let’s be the first to stand on the nails on the fucking carpet
We stand behind the curled
We stand by the fallen
We act like the glorious
With our backs against the wall
No one is safe
No one is hurt
The only punch made has been one that’s deserved
Love’s not the answer
It was never a threat
Hate is too natural it can’t be unlearned
Taught to us by the crows
Taught to us by the crows
Crows
[Have you ever had nightmares where your screams can’t be heard? Running from the monsters in your mind but no one can help you.]

Sell me lies
Sell me anything
I want to believe
In the fairytales
I loved as a kid
In forever with nothing to keep me
From going off the rails
With the demons pulling nails
From the cage inside my mind
I can’t keep up
With your submission to tradition
And the chains that we have made
‘Cause we can change
We’ll start again
And do things our own way
And not in the vein of the old guy
Ready to die
‘Cause we are sick
We are tired of
Living life in the same old times
The same old way for a new age
Not even theirs
It begins again
When we ask ‘What is love?’
And nobody knows
When we ask for indifference
only hate is what’s shown
I want to believe
That we can be good
But with the lives that we’ve made
There’s no chance that we could
Because being real is only too little too late
When you live in the world where there’s still borders and still hate
But it’s less about difference
Than living in a natural world
Being forced to live unnaturally reserved
‘Cause we can change
We’ll start again
And do things our own way
And not in the vein of the old guy
Ready to die
‘Cause we are sick
We are tired of
Living life in the same old times
The same old way for a new age
Not even theirs
It begins again
Burn down the flags
Tear off your badge

Burn down your flags
Tear off your badge) x3
It begins again

Eden
05:49
|
|||
Why is it a crime to be free
In a world run by thieves?
Rules broken simply by being made
Lives taken by the cowards and the afraid
Why must we suffer for those who can’t live?
Born into power with the right shoes on their feet
Why must we suffer for those who can’t fight?
Too fat to run but hidden in the night
(And when they knew they were naked
They covered their shame
Banished from Eden
But free with no gain) x5
We’re being strangled by our brothers’ hands
Castrated by our peers
Being punished for the crime of our first breath
We cannot pretend to be truly free
When we are imprisoned by accidental power
The unfair distribution we cannot control
(Simply to understand
Was the right they had won
The cost was their freedom
There was no going home) x5
[Cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever:
Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life] – Genesis 3:17-24, KJV
And when they knew they were naked
They covered their shame
Banished from Eden
But free with no gain
Simply to understand
Was the right they had won
The cost was their freedom
There was no going home

The Gathering
01:02
|
|||
[The Lord is salvation and I am his son, the descendant of man when your time is done. No more room mistakes or floor for the groundless. This is the rise of the sin, the end to this madness. When God gave you fruit you cursed his control. Now it’s my turn to eat and defy your morals. You call for a return like a bird in pain. But the egg is already cracked and there is no going back. It’s time to move on.]

No More Room in the Womb
02:25
|
|||
Suck my dignity let me know
Cut the rope and let me go
Take a look back on your life
Read my lips and grab the knife
No I'm really not okay
Don't ask why just go away
Waiting till my skin goes grey
Then I'll spit it in your face
Make me forget my own name
Burn my fingers on the flame
Hold my dick and take a bite
I want to regret tonight,
I want to forget tonight
I want to regret tonight
I want to forget tonight
I want to reset my life
(Bombarded
Retarded
Distorted
Aborted
Unwanted
Confronted) x2

Innocence (Lost)
03:47
|
|||
Looking onwards from the chair
Leering at his girl so fair
Eleven years has gone so fast
With every future becoming the past
No one can hear no one can see
The moment is theirs but she’s not free
Perception is key but it’s out of phase
With both our morals and our ways
And the innocence was lost on that day
Last night I dreamt I was him
Within moments I knew the sin
The pleasure of the action tainted with guilt
Tearing apart the lives that we once built
And the innocence was lost on that day
I was too naive and should have seen
Behind his smiles
Behind his anger, lies, and his abuse
The misuse
Of those he held close to his heart
Destroying the innocence
And tearing these lives apart
No one can hear no one can see
The moment is theirs but she’s not free
Perception is key but it’s out of phase
With both our morals and our ways
Last night I dreamt that I was him
Within moments I knew the sin
And I’ll stand outside your window with a scythe and a gown
‘Cause wherever I’m going I’m taking you down

My Teeth Are Falling Out
06:36
|
|||
Time is of the essence
The spice low in my pantry
Age is still ticking on
The mind is still racing from
Changes that we all fear
Things we just have to let be
My teeth are falling out
These dreams have caught up with me
Every note skips a beat
But I just still can’t hear it
[A broken metronome in the vacuum of your mind]
I wish that I could witness
The death of infatuation
[The last man’s obsession wither at his craze to remind]
Themselves of what has been
And leave the moment freezing
When their teeth are falling out
Age ahead of their own being
[I am but a product of the creator. I am your art. You passed onto me how you wished you could feel. I feel nothing.]
When you were made, you were made permanent. When I was made, I was made to change. The man I was felt numb but the man I am now is afraid.
[Fear as a concept is archaic. If people are in a constant state of change and adaptation, why can’t you learn to be less like people and more like me?]
Because tradition holds us together, it’s our glue. Without a base there’s no cause for relation.
[But your traditions are not universal. You’re tearing yourselves apart to prove yourself right; a bold thing to do with your uncertainty.]
I can’t defend the actions made by others for the sake of what they believe in, but it’s all about perspective.
[If you believe in what is right, why do you feel it’s worth standing up for those you think are wrong?]
Because no one is perfect and we can learn to be better.
[I do not need to learn.]
Then you’ll get left behind.
[But I’m already ahead. When you’re dead and rotting I will still be here.]

Trash Song
03:15
|
|||
She left a note for me
The day after the party
Saying she got what she wanted and she’s leaving me
For a bit of peace and quiet on her own
When we’re walking in the sun
And I knew it wouldn’t be long
Until she’d turn around and say
‘You never loved me anyway’
I sat through her lies
Just to look into her eyes
And hope that one day I may feel inside
The point of view that I can’t help but despise
What I’d give to be Boris Johnson
To walk away from my mistakes
To start again in the same place
To be a man free from disgrace
You know it’s over now
